Process Overview

Samples Traps LLC is a company that delivers a new method in the rendering of environmental sampling containers.  Our production generates small lots of containers, and our preparation steps promote transparency across all product lines.  We offer containers that have been cleaned by following the EPA guidance, while also offering these same containers in a non-cleaned condition.

For all containers that are cleaned in our facility, we deliver two substantial value-adding benefits unique to Sample Traps.  First, every individual cleaned container will come to you pre-labeled with its production lot number on a waterproof adhesive.  Second, that unique lot number will be fully traceable on this website back to the certified laboratory data package clearing that lot of vessels for release to our clients.  Sample Traps has standardized traceability protocols that others market only as a premium add on.

The original EPA guidance recommends that "documentation indicating that the container lot has passed all QA/QC requirements should be provided by the bottle vendor to the bottle purchaser with each container lot."  Furthermore, EPA indicates that "the raw data from the applicable analyses of the QC containers should be available and provided upon request."  Unlike other providers, Sample Traps posts that raw laboratory data online, no request needed, for every lot of containers we clean.  And that data is easily accessible, because unlike any other provider, every single cleaned Sample Traps container is lot number labeled ahead of time. 

Our commitment to analytical transparency is, of course, extended to the preservation reagents we provide as well.  In all instances when Sample Traps has added preservation to containers in our facility, the lot number of the chemical used will be included on the packaging, and will be traceable on this website for client verificiation.

So, instead of receiving a generalized, hard copy certificate of analysis in each carton purchased, Sample Traps clients have online access to a certified laboratory data package, specific to a small batch of containers.  This increases transparency and decreases waste.  To further that pursuit of reducing waste, we do not automatically include sample identification adhesives in every carton, as many clients don't need the labels and ultimately discard them.  Instead, clients can indicate at order entry whether or not waterproof ID adhesives are required, and in what quantity.
